November 20, 2018 - Paramus NJ - MedicsRIS from Advanced Data Systems (ADS) supports a number of mobility and connectivity capabilities including the MedicsPortal, MedicsKiosk, interactive appointment reminder texting, and ways to help ensure imaging centers obtain patient responsibility payments as those amounts continue to grow.
The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) noted in July 2018 that patient responsibility amounts increased to 12.2% of their total healthcare bills in the first quarter of 2017 versus 8% during that same period in 2012.
MedicsRIS displays the patient’s responsibility amount which is communicated to the patient in advance giving the imaging center an opportunity to obtain a partial, if not a full payment now, or to establish a payment plan.

Patients can also edit their demographics and / or insurance information without requiring staff assistance.

On arrival, patients use the MedicsKiosk to complete any additionally-needed questionnaires and information eliminating paper forms and manual data entry.
Content entered through the portal or kiosk is viewable by radiologists, technicians, and any other authorized staff.

About Marc Klar
Marc was introduced to medical software sales after several years working in operations, management, and sales in the NYC hotel industry. He quickly learned the medical industry/software and more than held his own in sales. He got into assisting with marketing, created new business development teams and marketing programs with two different vendors, one of which became the largest vendor of that system in the country for three consecutive years.
