The ADS Medics Solutions Suite Supports Clinical Trials Management and Reporting

PARAMUS, N.J., May 27, 2015 (PRNewswire) --  Advanced Data Systems Corp. (ADS) is pleased to announce that its MedicsDocAssistant™ EHR and MedicsPremier™ PM are being successfully utilized by both medical practices (sites) as well as sponsors and clinical research organizations (CROs) to track clinical trial outcomes, to report on clinical trial data as required, and to identify patient candidates and sites for clinical trials.

For sites, multiple benefits can be derived as a result of clinical trial use and the correct reporting of it, the most important of which is an anticipated positive result in helping to improve patient health. At the same time, medical practices can obtain very significant revenue from sponsor companies that produce the clinical trial medications being prescribed.

MedicsDocAssistant automatically alerts physicians during their patient encounters when patients meet the correct criteria for clinical trials.

For sponsors and CROs, the Suite can query over 4,000,000 patient histories in HIPAA-compliant, de-identified mode for potential candidates. One such noteworthy initiative involved a global sponsor that engaged ADS through a CRO to conduct an assessment for a Type II diabetes study. ADS was able to securely query its endocrinology and primary care practices which successfully identified a large number of potential patient candidates. ADS speeds up site acquisition while saving time and money for both the sponsor and CRO.

Lillian Greco, Practice Administrator at Woodbridge (NJ) Medical Associates (WMA), said, "WMA has been an ADS client for years. We've successfully obtained both Comprehensive Primary Care initiative (CPCi) and Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) status, as well as Stage 1 and 2 MU incentives using ADS' MedicsDocAssistant EHR. Now, WMA is using MedicsDocAssistant for tracking and reporting on clinical trials in conjunction with a large pharmaceutical company. It is an incredibly powerful, yet easy-to-use EHR which has supported us in achieving so much more, including significantly added revenue through CMS incentives and clinical trials."

David Barzillai, President of ADS said, "MedicsDocAssistant is a wide-ranging, specialty-specific EHR that comprehensively manages patient clinical information while supporting practices in their quest to be certified for programs such as PCMH and CPCi. Its clinical trials capability increases the system's robustness that much more in terms of tracking and reporting, and in producing what can be very substantial revenue to the practice."

ADS is exhibiting at the ASCO 2015 conference in Chicago, 5/30 - 6/1, booth number 14165. Oncologists, physicians, sponsor companies, and CROs attending ASCO are encouraged to visit and obtain more information on the Medics Suite for Oncology, and on how our systems handle clinical trials.

The Medics Suite is excellent as well for all primary care practices, and for multiple specialty practices. Click here for a complete list of specialties for which the Medics Suite is ideally suited.
