Past and Current Medical Problems

The patient's cardiac history is recorded in great detail. It includes CAD, IDOM, CVA, and other heart diseases, as well as all related conditions such as liver and renal diseases. An area for the Cardiologist's comments is also available.

Family Medical History

The Family History section provides data regarding the patient's parents and siblings. This information is often critical in arriving at a correct diagnosis.

Palpation

This section stores information about the patient's Point of Maximum Impulse (PMI) which can help the Cardiologist evaluate the heart size.

Auscultation

The patient's auscultation section holds the information about the heart's sounds, rate, rhythm, and if the auscultations are normal or irregular.

Heart Sounds

Records information about the patient's heart sounds - S1, S2, S3, and S4.

Pulses

Indicates the presence or absence of the Femoral, Pedal, and Tibial pulses.

Others

Stores additional non-cardiac information that may assist the Cardiologist in assessing the heart condition and in recommending a treatment.

Labs

Provides access to an extensive list of tests and worksheets for the patient. It allows the user to view all lab results, schedule tests, and reports.

Procedures

A listing of cardiac procedures along with their ICD-9 codes. The results of the procedures are recorded in the lab reports and are easily accessible.

Arterial Studies

Gives the Cardiologist a tool to identify the condition of the patient's circulatory system. It provides information about the patient's blood pressure in various conditions. In addition, it allows the Cardiologist to provide the reason for performing a particular study.

Anticoagulation

Provides a reference table allowing cardiologists to check the patient's International Normalized Ratio (INR) and effectively control the dosages of anticoagulants such as Warfarin. It also provides a mechanism for tracking dosages and other details for medications such as Coumadin.

ECG

Records the dimensions of the cardiac vessels and stores other important information obtained from the ECG. The user can generate a report for the patient which only contains ECG results.

Cath Cardiac and Procedures

Contains a list of the major procedures, tests, and treatments that were prescribed for the patient. It also provides a schedule for performing the tests and procedures.
